Frequently Asked Questions

What is Naturopathy?

Naturopathy is a natural approach to health that looks at the whole person to support your physical and emotional wellbeing, not just your disease. There are dietary, lifestyle and genetic factors that may be affecting your health, and I will work with you to understand these and assist your natural healing.

This is done with the support of nutritional supplements, herbal medicine and mineral remedies, as well as making any dietary and lifestyle changes necessary for good health.  While symptomatic relief is important, treating the cause will be more effective in restoring long term good health.

Why choose Naturopathy?

Naturopathy offers you an effective approach to your health issues and empowers you to take control of your health and treatment. I will use natural, non-invasive, safe treatments to support you.  Long-term chronic conditions can be treated as well as short-term health problems. Naturopathy is a holistic approach that can support all aspects to your health allowing you long lasting good health.

How long will it take?

An initial consultation is approximately 1 hour and subsequent consultations may be 30 or 45 minutes.

Online Telehealth appointments are also available.  These are done via  video or phone.

How many appointments will I need?

The duration of treatment will depend on your presenting health condition(s) and the level of complexity. You may need to come weekly or fortnightly at first, then monthly.  You will generally start to notice changes within a week or two of starting treatment.  However, I usually recommend a 6 – 12 week program to fully implement changes. I will design a treatment plan specifically according to your individual needs.

Many people come regularly on a fortnightly or monthly basis to maintain or continuously improve their health after dealing with their initial health concerns.  Some people schedule a 3 monthly check up after they complete their treatment.

How much does it cost?

Initial Consultations –  $150

Initial Couples/Family Consultations $170

Follow up appointments $95 / Concession $85 /Couples $145

The cost for remedies is additional.

Does health insurance cover Naturopathy?

The Federal government decided to no longer cover Naturopathy under private health as of April 2019.  This is still currently under review and we are looking forward to private health rebates being reinstated.

What conditions can Naturopathy treat?
